Funding For Second Degree?

What sources of funding are available for a second undergraduate degree? The mature student currently holds an ordinary degree (no honours) that was studied part-time through distance learning, and has never studied full-time/at conventional uni. The course they want to do is a full-time BSc (Hons) (and only available full-time). We are under the impression that a maintenance loan is avaiable from SFE but not a tuition fee loan. Is that correct? Is there any form of appeal to get the tuition fees covered? If not, where can we look for sources of funding to cover the tuition fees? Thank you.

What is the course? Whyh are you under the impression that a maintenance loan is available? I don't think that is usual but it is the case for medicine (undergrad as second degree - 5 year courses).
