we are removing just the lounge chimney breast, we have building regs that have been passed. Next door own their property but are leaseholders they have signed the party wall act for us to start, but we haven`t heard from the leasehold company we have sent emails with the plans and the signed party wall act, they have an automated response email but nothing esle. upon phoneing it just say they are all working from home due to covid19. looked on trust pilot re the company they have 1 star and very poor reviews. we want to start the removal, where do we stand?

Nothing they can do when the job is done. The agreement only lasts for as long as the work does.Frankly, they'd never even know.Regardless, you're responsible if there's any damage. As long as you do the right thing on those grounds, I don't see it as a massive issue.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
