Self Employed entitlements

I am confused with what i am entitled to over the next few months.I have been self employed for the past 8 yrs.I got first furlough payment.Since then i have applied for Universal Credit.Which is currently being processed.
My queries are as follows,I privately rent in shared house and declared details on my U/C claim. Will i be entitled to any housing benefit? will it be included in my U/C? or do i need to claim separately?
Will my U/C stop or affect my 2nd furlough payment?
Any help would be much appreciated thanks Scott

It will depend on how much self-employed grant you received. Benefits are means tested and your grant counts as income (remember you need to pay tax on it too) and needs to be declared. Fyi, we are getting a second (and final) grant in August. You'll need to apply for that one too.1

Any help would be much appreciated thanks ScottHow much UC you're entitled to will depend on your circumstances. There's benefit calculators out there that will help you know how much UC you're entitled to. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/If you have no dependents living with you and you're a single person then you'll be entitled to the Standard element for a single person. Under 25's £342.72. Over 25 £409.89. For the housing element you'll need a tenancy agreement to claim it and you'll receive the local housing allowance rate for your area. If under 35 you'll receive the shared rate of LHA. If over 35 then you'll receive the 1 bedroom rate of LHA. Check here what that rate is. https://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/ If your rent includes all your bills then you'll need to send DWP a breakdown of everything because they won't pay your bills.Any earnings you receive during your assessment period (including the SEISS) will reduce your UC entitlement by 63% for every £1 you earn. If you don't have the work allowance. If you have no dependent children living with you and you haven't been assessed as having limited capability for work then you won't have the work allowance. As you're self employed then your earnings and expences need to be reported on your journal.

UC does not affect your eligibility for the second SEISS grant. The grant will affect your UC as already explained by poppy.SapperUK said:Will my U/C stop or affect my 2nd furlough payment?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
The OP may also be able to take advantage of tax payment deferrals and Bounce Back Loan.
I assume the OP does not operate from business premises.

You could (and should) make sure that you incur some business expenses in the same assessment period as you receive the grant. It's an ideal time to buy some equipment.0
