help needed - keep losing my tool/taskbar ???

Have just had to buy a new monitor, fortunately it was easy for me to install as I've literally just plugged it in:o (am not techie at all)

my problem is that I now have disappearing toolbars (this didn't happen before)

my windows taskbar and clock at the bottom disappears and I have to press my windows button on keyboard to get it back AND when I'm on the internet the internet explorer toolbar at the top (all the tabs, the address bar and everything) just vanishes when I go onto a website. If I move cursor back to top of screen it shows again but I would like it to be there permanently.

The monitor I have bought is a 17" replacing a 15" does this make any difference?

all help appreciated :D

Have you changed the screen resolution to suit your new monitor? Right click, Properties on the desktop and then click on the Settings Tab. Your monitor is likely to need 1280 x 1024 on the Screen resolution slider.

    help .... :o
  • Hi,

sounds as though your are jumping into full screen, which hides bits at top and bottom of screen, try toggling the F11 key.

  • Hi

glad you're sorted, I use it myself, quite handy if you want a bigger picture.

Is your taskbar and clock fixed as well, as I was just about to send a fix for that?
