£100 a month is a puny amount of money anyway.

No worth the risk on such a small amount considering the convincing you’re going to have to do to get them to invest in whatever you come up with.

My suggestion to my parents for a spare £100p/m would be to enjoy themselves with it.

My mom retires in few years and will get 18k net per annum plus whatever state. Dad works couple hours a day, since retiring few years ago and gets state and work pension, don't know exact figures. They have a number of cash savings/isa I understand, but I barely take notice of rates myself since I invest in physical assets and trackers.IIts fine they keeping some in there, but I want to try get them to move any new excess money they don't need for 5-10 years into a balanced tracker.
It would be worth getting them to check their State Pension forecasts, and if necessary make up any shortfalls. If they were to qualify for full State Pensions that would be more than £9k per year each.  That added to your mum's £18k net pension would be £36k alone, not including your dad's works pension. That is thought to be more than enough for a couple to enjoy a comfortable retirement, so there is no need for them to invest their savings unless they want to.
