Virgin Atlantic / Westjet flights cancelled

Hi
Myself and my daughter were supposed to be flying to Canada next month
We booked through Virgin Atlantic but are flying with westjet (codeshare)
I spoke to Westjet a few days ago who have told me that the flights were cancelled weeks ago and Virgin should be refunding.
Virgin haven't told me this, when I log into my account it just says schedule change and "You may be eligible to change your flight(s) at no extra cost."
The cost is nearly £1700.

I'm in the same boat! Should be flying out on 28 June, outward leg cancelled and now logging on to my Expedia booking, the whole booking now cancelled - although neither Expedia nor Virgin have told me this as yet. Westjet were resuming international flights 4 July, although this may have changed, I've not checked. I'm doing a chargeback on my CC purely because Expedia tell me Virgin should deal with the refund and Virgin then tell me Expedia should. Good luck!
PS - I did Whatsapp chat with Virgin - the conversation is then 'recorded'.0 -
My advice would be to sit tight and wait for official confirmation of cancellation. Once you get this you can apply for a refund.2stixoftwixes said:Hi

It's looking that Virgin aren't showing that the flight is cancelled to maybe wriggle out of refunding.
Any advice before I phone them (Virgin?)
I suspect Virgin are hoping you will reschedule out of panic. Just wait.1
