Overseas Internal Flights Refund Refused

    Just to update all - I contacted OPODO on 10/07/2020 declining the voucher and asked for CASH REFUND which they refused.  So I immediately sent them e-mail giving them 14 days to process the refund.

    Nothing happened after 14 days as expected so I contacted AMERICAN EXPRESS to dispute the charge.  They have suspended the transaction and have raised a charge-back claim.  They have also advised might take a while but I will not have to pay it since the transaction is suspended.  But I always clear the balance in full and I made the purchase back in Jan-20 so was advised will not receive the refund until the charge-back dispute is resolved.

    AMERICAN EXPRESS closed my charge back claim without any contacts first time claiming that I did not respond but never received any communication from them.  Anyway, they re-logged the cased and as requested I submitted screenshot confirming flights cancelled by airline in my booking status + e-mail from DELTA confirming that I will have to speak to my travel agent for refund and they cannot get involved + e-mail confirming from OPODO that they will only do rebooking.  On this basis they have refunded the money back to me.  But they have said that OPODO might/can challenge this and if that's the case they will have to reverse the refund.

    Does anyone know if OPODO challenge this on basis of they are offering rebooking as per Airline and ask to retract the refund, where do I go from there?  I understand that I can refuse that and can ask for cash refund but if they claim that they are not getting money back from airline and so has challenged credit card decision?
