Lease car delivered wrong colour. Options?

Ordered a new Renault Zoe back in January on a really good deal.
Was told a week later that the price needed to go up £20 a month because there were no more standard colours left, so I was required to order a more expensive colour (a choice of 3), which we did. Fast forward almost 6 months and the car has eventually arrived today, but its not the colour we ordered. The car is in one of the 3 more expensive colours, but its basically a bog standard silver, whereas the car we ordered was deep grey-blue.
What are my options here?
The delivery driver has left, and we've taken possession of the car. Also, our finance documents and insurance are all linked to this car's VIN and Reg.
The car itself seems great, but we've got to live with this for 2 years and after waiting 6 months, the wife is pretty gutted that we're spending quite a lot of money on a car in a colour she can't stand.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

Looking at Renault's Zoe configurator, the only no-extra-cost colour is Glacier White.
Highland Grey, Titanium Grey, Diamond Black are £560 options.
Celadon Blue, Zircon Blue, Quartz White, Flame Red, Aconite (purple!) are £660 options.
From your description, I guess you were expecting Titanium Grey, and have Highland Grey? Of course, it's entirely possible the colour range has changed since your car was built.
Titanium Grey
Highland Grey
I'm presuming the "really good deal" is because they were cars that were in stock or were already on factory order, hence finite choice of cars in each colour - and that the delivery delay is, of course, Covid-related. Is it registered on a 69 or 20 plate? What's the first reg date?
I guess the car's on a lease or PCP, by the "two year" comment. Direct from Renault or a Renault dealer, or through a third party? What have they said?
Would you really have cancelled the order, if you'd been told that the only cars available were that colour?1 -
What has the dealer said when you told them the wrong colour car was delivered?0

@AdrianC correct on all counts, except the really good deal/cars in stock bit. Ordered in January and cars didn't arrive in the country until late March I believe. It's a 20 plate.
All our finance documentation and our broker order form state Titanium Grey, and yet a slip of paper in the car which looks like the order from the broker to the dealer, has handwritten "Grey". Clearly not the dealers fault, because looking at the two colours above, the Titanium Grey isn't what you'd call "grey".
No, we wouldn't have cancelled the order, but I'm just wondering if there is anything we can do as the dealer no doubt had the Titanium Grey in their job lot of cars delivered, but were sent a note saying "grey".0 -
@Andy_L Haven't spoken to the dealer, but have attempted to contact the broker. Still waiting on reply.
This is our first leased car, our first new car ever, so I've no experience in how this all works and what sort of things we can do if the order is wrong.0 -
Keep the light grey car, its a fantastic colour. They don't show dirt and at lease end any minor scratces can be covered up easily.0

+1, I had a silver grey car for 4 years. Never had to clean it onceAlso, it is really common, so if you accidentally cut someone up say, they won't spot you the next dayI want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

OK, so...but I'm just wondering if there is anything we can do as the dealer no doubt had the Titanium Grey in their job lot of cars delivered, but were sent a note saying "grey".
So let's assume it was a simple human error, and there are indeed cars of the "right colour" still awaiting allocation to customers. You want them to swap cars? As you say, everything's linked to the VIN and reg of this one. Not insurmountable, of course, but..,
Or you just want them to apologise?0 -
I think if I'd been told I had to choose a different colour (and be charged £20 extra per month for the privilege) I'd be a bit pi55ed off if they delivered a car in one of the colours I didn't choose. Doesn't seem a particularly difficult thing to get right.

Baffling how this has happened.
Every lease document I've signed has been very clear about the colour, I've never come across a document where the colour isn't mentioned.
So either the lease company got it wrong, or the OP didn't notice and signed the agreement incorrectly.0
