Squeaky floors

Please advise me how to fix this problem. Problem is up and down stairs and in rooms! It's driving me mad.

(The stairs is boarded underneath so I can't see see bottom. Hope that makes sense!)

Thank you!

no easy fix i'm afraid. you'll need to rip all the plasterboard off the bottom of the stairs, and re-inforce with wood, screws and packing wedges. although this isn't always successful, it may only last a few years.
and about the floors, if it's chipboard  (8x2 boards) and the tongue & groove has been cut in some sections, it will need re-enforcing timbers put below the joints, and tons of screws.
or if there are wooden floorboards, some might just be short of a few screws it could be a simple fix...

I've fixed the odd squeaking boards by scattering talcum powder over the join and gently brushing it in.  Sounds like you have a more fundamental problem though.
  • No wooden floor boards it is chipboard.

In the small bedroom- I tried screwing some nails but it helped in some places and some not.

Talcum powder sorted my chipboard boards out, but it does sound like yours is more major.

Be very careful screwing screws or banging nails in, unless you know exactly what's underneath.  Pipes, etc. and possibly cables if it's not been wired properly.

I was always under the impression that the first thing to try is brushing sawdust or talcum powder into all joints and seams. Only if that doesn't resolve, are you looking at something more major. (But maybe I grew up in older houses with real floorboards!)
