Leisure Guard not continuing cover on renewals

My Leisure Guard travel insurance is up for renewal in July. Apart from increasing premium by almost 40%, it now excludes any pandemic cover other than contracting it while away. So no cancellation cover if you (or relative) catch COVID before traveling.

MSE advise that  same terms should, according to FCA,  be carried over from previous policy to this one. Doesn't seem to be the case for LG.

I have contacted them and they seem to be very confused, but they're not budging, so looks like they're not complying with FCA "standard practice"
