How much does a porch cost

I am trying to get some kind of a ball-park figure as I am looking at houses and I am viewing a house today that needs quite a big of work. Most of it is cosmetic but it needs a kitchen and a bathroom updated, and the front door opens to the living room (as a migrant I will never be able to understand that).
Initially, I thought I'd budget in moving the kitchen and the living room around and building a teeny wall around the door, but the property is quite small and whilst that would be the nicest option, I am on a budget. So the other alternative would be to get a tiny porch. The property and front garden are very small, so the porch would probably be in the region of 3sq max. What would you estimate that the cost of that could be, roughly? Looking at all the work together and getting someone to design and do it for me, I'm not skilled to do this myself.

Do any of the adjoining properties have a porch?  If not, you may not be permitted to have one due to planning conditions.

Ask them who built it and how much it cost.  Even if it was some time ago, it should give you an idea.
