I would just like to share my experience, dealing with JET2 regarding our upcoming family holiday (August 14th) to Madeira.

Despite numerous emails to Jet2 regarding the upcoming holiday, and our family decision to postpone, I had received standard reply’s from Jet 2 stating that the flight/holiday would take place unless Government Legislation etc. did not permit.

Further communication will be issued when applicable.

What I wanted to do was to cancel my holiday, and transfer the funds paid (holiday was paid in full) to exactly same holiday in August 2021.

The emails that I received back from Jet2 were implying that I was trying to avoid the £180 penalty (3 x £60 deposits) on cancellation; however, this was not the case.

After 1.5 hours on phone yesterday, I managed to speak to a representative of JET2 who transferred the funds etc. to our new booking in 2021.

I expected an increase on next year’s trip, of which there is approx. £600 increase compared to this year’s booking.

The way that Jet2 handled the call (once I got through  ), I would like to thank JET2 for their customer attention and particulary their representative Kim Ferreira who was very professional in the way she dealt with my amendments.

Madeira is open for business. You should have saved your money and gone this year.

I live in North West, and was flying from Scotland to keep cost down, however I have family in Glasgow.
The trip alone to Scotland was putting me off, and also the problem of a possible quarantine issue on return (due to work issues).
I would much rather enjoy a family holiday without restriction, than worry about certain issues during this current climate.
I just hope that we may see the end (or a least improved) situation this time next year!

I'm not the OP, but we have just moved flights only from September this year to September next year.  I did it all on-line, and although there was mention of an admin fee during the process, the additional cost I had to pay only took the total price to what it would have been if I had made a new booking for the same dates.  Hope that makes sense.
