Question about furlough

Please help, my daughter has been placed on furlough by her company from the 2nd April 2020. Since then she has received no confirmation email or letter and she has had very little correspondence in relation to receiving her salary. The employer says that they applied for the government payment but she just says that they have not got the code from the HMRC to enable them to make the furlough claim. Is there any way of finding out if they have received any payment from the HMRC as I find this hard to believe that almost 3 months into this they have received no payment. My daughter is very stressed out with this and has bills etc to pay like the rest of us. PLEASE PLEASE HELP

There's no way of finding out if her employer has claimed the furlough. She can check her tax account online to see if it says that her employer has paid her anything. If her employer hasn't furloughed her by now then she won't be able to be furloughed because the last date for this was 10th June.
Otherwise she needs to check her entitement to Universal Credit and use a benefits calcuIator. A claim for UC will end any tax credits she may already be claimin.
Savings.capital of more than £16,000 will exclude her from claiming.
    I don't understand why she's waited for 3 months.

The CJRS grants are paid within 5 business days usually, so there is something seriously wrong here.

Yes I was in a similar position although didn’t wait as long. As Poppy has said tell her to check her personal tax account it’s the only way of clarifying if you have even been paid anything.
As for not signing anything/having info etc don’t worry you don’t need to despite what you read I didn’t and the payments were still showing.

Your daughter should be paid salary (reduced to 80% if she agreed to that) as per the normal payroll cycle, whether monthly or weekly.  Nothing changes her contract of employment otherwise.  Your daughter should still be paid irrespective of whether the company correctly claimed the CJRS grant.

I assume your daughter had been working at the company for some while before the furlough on 2nd April?  This would mean that she was on payroll before 19th March.  Is it a very small company?  I am not sure what code the company are waiting for.

Why this question now?  Quite late in the day to ask after 3 months.  What has your daughter done in the mean-time?  Would also assume the company would have looked into the grant not coming through before three months.

What shows on your personal tax account is what earnings your employer has submitted for you - not what they've claimed under CJRS.

If your employer has not sent you written notification that you were furloughed then I hope they realise they can be asked to pay back the grant plus penalties.

As for OP.....I'd be reminding the employer that they are still obliged to pay her as agreed by either her contract (if there was no agreement to be furloughed and assuming she isn't zero hours contract) or pay her the amount agreed when she agreed to be furloughed. What/if they can claim under the grant doesn't change their obligations to their employees - it just allows them to receive support with the cost.
