Hello, Can anyone help we have a lily pollen stain on the roof of our car. We hoovered the loose bits then tried to carpet clean it. It improved after the hoover but does anyone else have any other recommendations? (Sorry if posted in the wrong section)

De-solv-it universal stain remover. It’s in a blue aerosol can. Can buy it in supermarkets or amazon. I had lily pollen stains on a cream carpet and it got it off when I’d tried every carpet cleaner product in the shops!

Made the mistake of trying carpet cleaner and as soon as I rubbed with a damp cloth the stain became bright orange and 100 times worse. Not very helpful to keep reading not to wet stain when already had! I was at the stage of thinking a rug was the only answer when I saw on a forum somebody suggesting CILLIT BANG MOULD REMOVER. IT WORKS!!!! I cannot see any trace of the stain it has completely disappeared. Next time I have lillies I will cut the pollen parts off before they drop and if any does get on the carpet DON'T WET IT.1

For future reference , sellotape is perfect for picking up the lily pollen. Try that first before any stain remover.0
