Protected No Claims Discount

After nearly thirty years of motoring, when I have made no claims on my car insurance, my wife damaged my car and I claimed on the insurance. I have a protected No Claims Discount and was advised I could make two claims in three years. Do I have to declare that claim when looking for quotes from other insurers at renewal time?

if asked the question have you had any accidents in the last 3/5 years, you need to be honest as anything else will cause you problems further down the line"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
