Surely any policy already held or any one purchased now for leisure travel will be void for any Covid related claim until the FCO relaxes/changes its advice? I don't have one now and can't see any point in wasting money on buying one. I have no trips booked.

Well, yes, it does seem good money-saving advice not to spend money on travel insurance if you're not planning to travel!

you are correct , due to the uncertainty, I wouldn't travel abroad at present, in case a second outbreak and your stuck in a foreign country when they lockdown again"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

With no trips booked there is absolutely no point in paying for travel insurance. You wouldn't buy motor insurance if you didn't have a car would you?

Some people do have holidays booked for next year , specially those who opt to move their holiday from this year to next year.
