First Credit Card

Hey,

I am currently looking at getting a credit card for the first time (in order to boost my credit score) and i've been reading through all the different credit card types on here and I am still unsure of what would be the best one for me. My main purpose for using one would be for mainly food shopping?

If anyone could point me the right direction that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

if your first credit card then just go for whichever provider will offer you one - rewards, deals etc tend to only be given to people with plenty of good credit history. Run your details through the eligibility checker and see what your chances are.

Food shopping, setup a direct debit right away to pay in full every month. Great way to build a credit history. Be careful not to overspend! so easy at the start, we have all done it. or thought "oh ill just pay the minimum this month".

Try your own bank first if you have a good relationship with them. or try here. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/bad-credit-credit-cards/
