We asked if we could pay to get our own one done but the bank want an independent one. I was sure surveyors (officially) were going back phase two in Scotland. Worst bit of it is- I have phoned two who are already back to work and could have done it.
Could you not get one done using a surveyor on their panel and ask for it re-formatted to the lender's standard format after? The surveyor's could charge an admin fee for the latter but this worked for me in past to speed things up and wasn't charged extra.

I'm in a similar situation apart from being in Wales. My application went into Natwest pre-lockdown, and I've been waiting for the valuation. However, just received a notice this morning from the broker that physical valuations will reccommence in Wales 22nd June, and in Scotland 29th June. I hope it helps 😊
  • Posted this on another thread. We submitted our mortgage application yesterday with Skipton for a new build on the outskirts of Glasgow. We have received notifcation today that the valuation is booked for next Tuesday. So things are starting to move in the right direction.

We put our full application into nationwide on Tuesday and had a valuation carried out yesterday and our mortgage offer issued today. Much faster than expected. We are waiting on a home report refresh on the property we are buying which is being carried out at the start of next week. Hopefully that's things in Scotland moving forward now.

Well after waiting since the 5th of May, our valuation has been booked for 6th of July. If it wasn’t for the remoteness of where I live would probably have been done slightly quicker.
