How do you forget you have a credit card when they're taking a direct debit from your current account every month?

It's always a good idea to check your current account statement at least once a month. Anybody could be taking anything from it!  I have to admit that there was a time when I was very careless with money and then I ended up in so much debt I had to get a DRO. Big wake up call and all because I buried my head deep in sand. Thank goodness it's all behind me now but I did learn a big lesson and always check my bank account. Have to make sure I'm not being ripped off and also, I can't believe you're going to end up paying over £1k for a £450 debt. That's just crazy.

    They do :- monthly statements.

They were either being posted to the last address you told them you lived at or being made available on the online account you set up and chose login details for.
