Forgotten credit card

How do you forget you have a credit card when they're taking a direct debit from your current account every month?0

It's always a good idea to check your current account statement at least once a month. Anybody could be taking anything from it! I have to admit that there was a time when I was very careless with money and then I ended up in so much debt I had to get a DRO. Big wake up call and all because I buried my head deep in sand. Thank goodness it's all behind me now but I did learn a big lesson and always check my bank account. Have to make sure I'm not being ripped off and also, I can't believe you're going to end up paying over £1k for a £450 debt. That's just crazy. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
