Martin lewis said if you are with Edf you can save up to £300 by switching to ....EDF but this must be done on Compare the Market
And he was right. 
My then current deal was calculated at £1250 for the year, so have been paying 106 per month 
Compare the market found me a new deal, yes, with EDF , calculated it with the same projection figures costing around £900 per year and costing me £81.00 per month.

Saving £300 per year...Whoo hoo, that'll do fo me

Do be aware that all "savings" are not guaranteed.  If you use more energy you will pay more.  Simple as.

Do make sure you submit monthly meter readings and between now and October make sure your monthly consumption is well below £81 or you'll be in trouble over winter.

It isn't 'costing' you £81 per month, you are banking £81 a month towards your actual bills, so make sure you are more than covering them at this time of year so you build up a balance to carry you through the winter.
