Camp America/Camp Leaders Offer of a refund

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone can please advise?
My daughter was due to fly out to Boston last week under Camp America/Camp Leaders, however KLM cancelled the flights and the camp have informed us they will not open this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Having paid nearly £650 directly to Camp America for flights, not to mention the hundreds spent on open days, police checks, doctors certs and Visa's, they have offered her a poultry £100 refund. I find this quite unbelievable at such a little amount is offered. I have since emailed them back asking them to inform us of the appeal process. I also believe that KLM (being a Dutch airline) would operate under the European laws of flight refunds and may therefore still provide her with a refund but unsure if I am correct in thinking this.
Any advice/help would be hugely appreciated for my very upset daughter. Thank you for reading

Awww such a shame and am sure your daughter is very disappointed. She should get the cost of her flights back although the rest she probably won't. As has often been asked on here, how did she pay Camp America? Does her insurance cover her for cancellation of flights? She should at the very least be reimbursed her flight money.0
