I don't want to be negative but what's to stop your fiance accepting your 180K, paying off the mortgage and then refusing to put your name on the deeds? It might sound unlikely but something similar happened to a friend of mine that resulted in her losing her home. After a court battle she got back some of the value, minus court costs.
    I second this.
Is there a reason he can't put you on the deeds to your new home from the start? Seems a lot less faff than getting it changed later.

I also second all the challenges on the house price math. I can't make that make sense at all I'm afraid.

    I thought the same thing.
And yes you do sound greedy and I would be very wary love or not if I was put in 2/3 and your input is 1/3.
Would you be happy going 50/50 if the your deposit was larger - I doubt it.
Your partner is a saint, because they is no way I would be putting in such a large sum of money and give you 50/50.
What seems more reasonable is for both of you to be given your initial deposit, then split the profits 50/50

The complication seems to be what will you be doing with the money you will save through not paying a mortgage.  Will it be spent or become joint savings or just your savings?
