Hello everyone , I applied to Companies House to close my Ltd Company and received the receipt of form DS01 on 18/02/20 ,

Meanwhile I am paying my accountant over £80 per month until the company closes and each payment goes to overdrawn at the bank,

now its heading to July and have still not heard anything  from Companies House as there are delays there

due to Covid 19, so my question is ; will I be able to claim all these extra payments to the accountant back  ( as they are sending into overdrawn monthly)  with a tax refund ?

It depends on why you are sending the money to your accountant?
If you close down your limited company before any tax refund you won't be able to bank the cheque - as soon as it becomes public knowledge the bank will freeze and eventually close down the account.
  • The accountant keeps charging monthly as it hasn't been shut by companies house yet ,they haven't told me it's shut, also bank acc still open .

Have you asked why they are charging you £80 per month for what seems very little?

The company bank account should have been closed before you applied for striking off.
Can't you just cancel the accountant's standing order/direct debit via your bank?

Not enough information to go on.

Most accountants work on a monthly payment. They do the accounts and charge monthly for this.

You may still owe them a balance from the last work they done but my crystal ball just doesn't seem to be working just now.

I have an idea though, give your accountants a call to cancel their services and get an account statement from them to find out if you owe them any more money or not.
