Covid 19 Car Insurance Refund

A number of weeks ago I had a letter from Direct Line regarding miles driven during lockdown for a refund to be given. I advised them of the very paltry miles I was driving and they promised to get back about a refund.
I haven't as yet had a letter or email but have had the grand sum of £10.08 refunded to my credit card. As Admiral had given £25 to all customers and the vastly reduced miles I was driving I expected a somewhat higher figure.
Better than nothing I suppose but it's not much back on a £350 policy!

I got £50. Pretty happy with that. My wife only got a tenner though. I was on 18000 miles a year and said I was down to 10 a week, so quite a difference.1

Letter arrived today but they give no explanation of the calculations. Oh well!0

Yeah Admiral have been decent and gave me and the wife £25 each on our multicar for key worker status so it looks they must have shelled out to a fair amount of their customers. Pity their renewal was too expensive though. We left them yesterday for Churchill.

I rang my car insurance provider Hastings Direct and they said they were not refunding their customers which I think is unfair as my car has been idle since lockdown.

I called Direct Line Insurance last night - got a refund of £10.08 back (due to be returned back to my credit card) but they were unable to explain how they calculated this amount other that I popped your details in and this is the amount of refund you are due.0
