hi
My husband has two credit cards (from joint spending) I only have one card with a zero balance. Is there any reason why I would not be able to open a new 0% card and transfer his balance to this card?
Thanks!

No there isn't however some cards don't allow you to do this.I think Santander and Barclaycard definitely let you do this.1

Only if they allow balances from a different name. Some don’t.0

I know some cards say you can't but do any of them actually ask for a name if you transfer a balance online?0

I'm not sure on all lenders if they ask for the name of the cardholder, but I know aqua (Newday) say they check "with TransUnion to verify your identity and check that the card you wish to transfer a balance from, belongs to you."SuperAllyB said:I know some cards say you can't but do any of them actually ask for a name if you transfer a balance online?1 -
It is possible but to make sure that you can; apply for a money transfer card.
Transfer the money into your bank account then pay the credit card from there.0 -
As alluded to above - some say they do not allow a transfer between different names. However in my experience they dont check names just numbers - so the balance transfer will still go through.
