Essential Travel

I need to make an essential travel trip from UK to America. My Husband is American and therefore as immediate family member I am exempt from the travel ban. My reason for travelling is extremely urgent and I obviously am happy to explain that if needed.
There are flights and I contacted the CBP and they confirmed I am able to enter upon arrival, however I can’t find anyone who will provide me with insurance for this trip.
Does anyone know who might cover for essential travel? What would you do if you were me? I’m so stressed as I do really need to go and wouldn’t be putting myself and others through the risk of flying if it wasn’t necessary, but I haven’t ever travelled without insurance, especially to America. Any assistance would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Have a search for "High Risk Travel Insurance"  you will be able to get cover outside the mainstream insurance, but at what cost, I don't know

Staysure and a couple of others are covering covid medical expenses but not cancellation or curtailment.

I think that's only when FCO advice changes, I could be wrong but thought only specialist insurance covered when traveling against FCO advice.

The poster needs to confirm that themselves via phone or online chat.

What do you need cover for? Health care while in America? I doubt if you will get cover for the journey being cancelled, and I think you will need to go through a broker. It certainly isn’t something for a comparison website.
