An IsoFix seat is generally easier to fit correctly and should fit in any car that has IsoFix fittings. A seat belt restrained seat is much easier to make a dog's dinner of fitting, and therefore unsafe, and often has to be more carefully selected as there are many "no fit possible" scenarios.
