Furlough query

I have been employed with an agency since 21/10/19 working on a contract for a client. I was asked to leave the office due to the Covid situation. I haven’t been asked back since but been querying the furlough payments since I left. Only to find out this week that no furlough will be paid to any contractors as the client is making redundancies on their permanent staff.
I pay tax through PAYE. Both myself and my agency ( who pays me and who I have a contract with) agreed to furlough but the client (who is French owned) is unwilling to agree to furlough being paid.
Is the correct as I am lead to believe that all PAYE tax payers are entitled to furlough.
Thank you
Susan

No one is entitled to be furloughed, some people are however eligible.
From what you have said you are employed by the agency, they are your PAYE employer, therefore it has nothing to do with the client. The agency as your PAYE employer is the one who would claim furlough based on your previous earnings, it is nothing to do with the client.0 -

Please do not create multiple threads on the same subject, or post the same question on multiple threads as it makes it difficult to reply and things become disjointed. I have replied on the thread you created.1 -
It has nothing to do with the client, furlough but it is too late now anyway as the date has passed.0

We have been in lockdown now for 3 months. How come we still get new threads asking about eligibility for furlough? Where have these people been and what have they been doing all this time?0
