Probate Property Valuation

Options
I hope everyone is keeping safe.
Would greatly appreciate some guidance on the following situation.
I need to get several properties valued for probate purposes and plan to use someone who is a member of the RICS.
However, I have been given different information regarding required qualifications which would have a marked difference in cost hence the question.
On the one hand, I have been advised to ensure I use a surveyor who is either a Chartered Member (MRICS) or a RICS Fellow (FRICS) whilst, on the other hand, I have also been advised that an Associate Member (AssocRICS) who is a Registered Valuer would also suffice as they would be using the same RICS Red Book Standard.
I understand that a member who is either MRICS or FRICS would also need to be a Registered Valuer but am confused/un-sure if there additional qualifications/experience would make a difference in this scenario.

Why use a member of the RICS? Before doing so, have a look at https://www.homeprotect.co.uk/probate-insurance/valuing-property-for-probate and see if it is likely to be necessary. If it is, ring round a few surveyors and ask them to quote for doing the job, making it clear you only need someone whose valuation will be accepted by HMRC.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
