Help - How do i burn Films / TV shows to disc using Vista

Hi All

I have a Vista Pc and have downloaded some tv shows to watch (with thanks to another MSEer cos once downloaded i couldnt find em) Now i cannot fathom how to burn this onto disc so i can watch them on a normal dvd player on the TV. I have just the basic package that came with Vista Home Premium and have actually burnt them to a disc, or so i thought. Its there on the disc but 3 dvd players in the house dont recognise it and one wants to delete it! I am using DVD + RW discs and the main multi region dvd player in the house says it suppports this.

Help - What am I doing so wrong?

For ease of use, try Nero 8: http://www.nero.com/enu/nero8-introduction.html

    Download here: http://www.nero.com/enu/downloads-nero8-trial.php

Don't install the ASK Toolbar and de-select all options for it to be the Default application.

Many Thanks for this. Is it not possible to do this then with the "all singing all dancing" vista?

Right off to look at nero (had nero with XP PC)

Possibly with Vista Ultimate, but maybe not with Home Premium.

Let me know how it goes.

It can be done with just the existing facilities in Home Premium by using Windows Media Center

    In WMC go into Settings
    Select "Library Setup"
Add the folders that contain your files
Put a blank DVD into your DVD drive
Then find "Burn CD/DVD" under tasks in the main WMC menu
    Add the files you want
    Burn DVD

Hi, thanks for reply. I have tried this and although its right there on the disc i cannot get any dvd players in my house to play the dvd's  So wondered what i was doing wrong.

I am gonna download a few more episodes of my fave shows so i have a good batch then give the 15 day trial nero a try. If that works - fab and will go on a search for best price for nero - any ideas where? I just thought i would have been possible in vista.

    Thanks again guys

Does that create a DVD Video or just burn a DVD data disc?

Obviously DVD Video is what is needed.
