Morning all. I'm late on parade today as couldn't sleep last night and finally got off at about 6 this morning. When I say I couldn't sleep it was my own fault, I woke up at about 2.00am and instead of doing a sudoku, that usually has me yawning, I picked up my book. Fatal! I just couldn't put it down.
Anyway, woke up with the sun pouring in through the window. We are still waiting for the torrential storms they promised us. A bit of cloud and a couple of short showers was as far as it went.
Today I have promised my poor house that I will have a gigantic tidy up. I still have summer clothes in piles all over the place waiting for a wash, an iron, a visit to the CS bag, a new home in a drawer, the insertion of a clothes hanger or a dismissal to the ragbag. Today's the day.
Nanny. I hope things begin to look better for you very soon. Be very kind to yourself.
Here's another one who won't be joining real life in a rush. Apart from wanting workmen to be able to come and do lots of outstanding jobs, I have no desire to go back to the rushing around DOING THINGS that was my former life. My DIL has been wfh for the last 3 months, but her boss has asked her if she could go back in for a few days this week so she rang DGD's headmistress and DGD is going back into school today. She is beyond thrilled! As an only child she is desperate to see friends again.
Well, those clothes won't sort themselves.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It's better to be the one who smiled than the one who didn't smile back.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.14 -
Morning folks
Lovely sun early on ,cloudy now I hope that it doesn't rain as I would like to spend some time on the garden., Of course the garden could do with a good french., so will have to take what comes.
Ate something strange and had diarrhoea last night was up and down to the toilet most of the night. I seem better today but will take it easy just in case..
Sun has reappeared so will take a cuppa and enjoy it in the garden .Have a good day everybody

Afernoon all! Got up late due to not sleeping much saturday night [ went to bed at seven, did a monna, slept for an hour then woke up and couldn't get off again] Yesterday I got the lean to and kitchen cleaned, hoovered the floors, mats, then steam cleaned the kitchen, bathroom and lean to, moved the dresser in the lean to, did the dishes [ not put away yet, such a s|ut ] . OH went out to see a friend in his garden and stayed there for quite a while so I was free to achieve things whilst making a terrible messSaturday was lots of things going out the door to freecycle, freegle and FB so it was like Picadilly circus. We've decided to rearrange the lving room so everything is everywhere and a right mess. The washing machine is on with the towels and dressing gown so Vanish was liberally applied. A white dressing gown BTW, my mother bought it for me years ago and due to my ability to throw food on me instead of in my mouth it needs a deep clean....I also went through my seeds on Saturday and threw out about 30 packs that were either self saved or bought/aquired through seed swaps. Most of them went in the compost but the flower ones I scattered over the front garden so if they live, they live, if they don't, etc....It's still so dry out there, it rained a little bit but none of the downpours we were promised and the ground is like rock. I definitely need to throw compost on there this year and a nice deep layer if I can.Today is more of the same, rearranging cupboards to rationalise things and make them more user friendly, kanban as we used to call it in work or some other Japanese business speak word.. I've just had a surprise visit frrom a friend hence the lateness of posting. She came with hollyhocks and left with lemon balm, a chilli plant, a cushion for an outside chair and a packet of vanilla baking powder...I'll give her a metal seat I had off freecycle last year [ we don't sit on it, I put the washing basket on it when I hang stuff out] and hopefully her daughter will want two very heavy red plant pots, so Friday I'll probably go round and drop those off if she's not working. I'm definitely int he chuck everything out mood. Need to find out when the tip is open to fill my boot with Justins.Ruby, what a shocker of an ex! Well rid! Hope she can sort things out with minimum of fuss. Nanny more hugs for you and fairies dancing round your head gently tapping you with get well wands..ME, loved your camping story
Monna, happy spring cleaning, you are a suspended member of the sloth club for the time being. Nels, you can never have enough garlic, besides, it cleans your blood and is antibacterial so it's really good for you..and if anyone else has eaten it they can't smell it anyway so we should all eat some to show some solidarity
Rosy, hoe lovely, it's nice to be appreicated isn't it? Does your DH do Wiltshire by any chance?
Right, time to shift and tidy more rubbish, have a good day all and those reading along, hope you are safe and sound...Motivational Monday to you all!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11 -

I am still in camping mode Chez Nous. I have been sat on the front grass eating worms weeding. Rather like Guide camp, where I sat on my *!!!!!! on the grass, eating breakfast, lunch and evening meal from an enamel plate with my name painted in the back in vivid red nail polish. OH brought me tea and coffee and I have had lovely conversations with the whole world who passed by. Oh, and I've solved the problems of the whole world, everything is put to rights and the weeds will grow again.Hugs and healing hugs even if you think you don't need them. I miss real hugs.10
