It can't be Chargeback or S75 it can be Chargeback & S75, or just a S75

Don't quite understand. Filed S75 first but taken down Chargeback route instead. Can a bank do this? (Merchant's challenge to Chargeback failed but I haven't received my money. Bank has lodged a 2nd Chargeback - why would they do this?). How can it be both Chargeback and S75?

You need your own thread, and when done give fuller details.

If as you stated in your OP you paid £3000 by bank transfer and £50 by credit cardAnna_Belle said:Don't quite understand. Filed S75 first but taken down Chargeback route instead. Can a bank do this? You can't do either a Chargeback or S75 on a bank transfer, only on a credit card , and just a Chargeback on a debit card.
So a Chargeback would only get £50 back, but a S75 should get the full amount back.
But they could do a Chargeback for the £50, and the £3000 on a Section 75.0 -
This is the 5th thread of someone elses you have posted in, in relation to your issue.Anna_Belle said:Don't quite understand. Filed S75 first but taken down Chargeback route instead. They can. How a dispute is dealt with is up to the bank. You can not force S75 where chargeback options are available. You just have to go with the advice given. If the chargeback fails, then they will look at S75.Life in the slow lane0
