Halifax Miss-sold Investments Claims

I responded to a link on the internet recently from a company offering to investigate miss-sold investments.  I had a PIP Investment & an ISA Investor between May 2006 - Mar 2019.
What is the best way to research if I was miss-sold these products without paying a substantial free to the miss-selling investigation company please?

You could do worse than explaining the whole story on here, focusing particularly on exactly why you'd consider it to be potential mis-selling.

In the vast majority of cases you would know if you have been missold or not.  So, that is a good starting point.

I had a PIP Investment & an ISA Investor between May 2006 - Mar 2019.

So, its pretty unlikely you have suffered a loss over that period in any of their risk profiles.  So, what exactly is the problem?

Even if you were missold, if you have profited from it, you do not get compensation.

Was that on scambook or similar?

CMCs PPI cashcow is over now. They are searching for new areas they can exploit.  Some are even turning to crowdfunding and getting mug investors to invest in claims.  However, they need to show that they have punters lined up to make complaints.   So, often, whether there are grounds or not, a company will take on complaints just to boost their volume so they get more investors.   the directors of the CMC take the investors money, draw it and when new money stops coming in, the scheme collapses.  The complaints side is not the real money maker.

  • Many thanks for your comments. Since I originally expressed an interest by completing  a short on-line contact form,  last Friday, I have been received at least six calls from the company.  I am now thinking that it is not going to be to my advantage to engage with them whatsoever.
    Thank you again.

Sadly you will no doubt have been added to a "potential suckers" call list that will be sold to other companies looking to scam you. Be very wary about any cold callers wanting to discuss potential investments - just put the phone down. You may need to change your number.

I've recently heard adverts on Absolute Radio for this, asking if you've suffered a loss from an ISA or other product and that you might be due compensation. Can't remember the company but it does seem to be becoming the new thing.

Every time there is a market fall, out come the sharks on the adverts.

Never respond to any financial adverts on Facebook or that are the result of a web search. Odds are it's a scam. Wait for the calls to start from other scammers now.

@poppypink, google "allansons litigation funding" if you want to know how these kinds of schemes work. These are the kind of people who now have your contact details.
