Einhell GH BC 43 Brush cutter strimmer vibration

I have just purchased one of these strimmers, set it up today and when using it the vibration is very very strong above half throttle, is this normal?
I have scoured some threads of various machines, they refer to the shaft being bent after some use, as this was the 1st use, I was ruling that out.
I was using the scythe attachment if that makes any difference?

When you say "scythe" you mean the brushcutter blade?
They tend to have more vibration than the line trimmer head in my experience, but it shouldn't be that excessive.
If it's OK with the line trimmer head then I'd wonder about the balance of the blade, and have a good look at it.

When I use my brushcutter blade there is more vibration than with the strimmer line but nothing excessive. Has there been any damage to the blade which might cause this vibration? Is there any vibration when using the strimmer line? Also try it with neither attachment this might indicate if the shaft is bent.1

Yes I since went back to the garage and started it up without the lance and brushcutter blade and there was minimal vibration (nothing significant compared to say an electric mower.0

Yes, make sure you have any bushes and washers the right way round.
Should be some way to hold the blade central on the bolt. On mine it's a stepped flange that provides the drive, and a cupped washer that goes over it. (I had to think for a minute there!)
There shouldn't be vibration like you're describing.1 -

Don't know if you've done this, but I generally try to get the manual in PDF form.
At least that way you can generally blow it up big enough to see properly.
This your's?

Hi, I have the same problem, only used it once. Could you send me a picture of how you fitted the scythe blade and the dome washer. I also followed the instructions so maybe mine is upsidedown. wellybike@yahoo.co.uk. thanks in advance0
