Where to send Apple watch for repair?

Options
As above DW's watch is only showing half the screen so thinking of having it repaired but don't want to be ripped off.
Any recommendations?

I was going to suggest Apple until I saw the prices!

It may depend how old the watch is - those prices are for out of warranty repairs.

It is one of the original ones, passed down to us from our son who has to have the latest Apple things!
    So well out of warranty.

The repair price is prohibitive, my daughter damaged her Apple watch and the repair price was ridiculous, but we are talking Apple here.

Just had a look and a brand new Apple watch is £199 from Apple UK so I am definitely not going to pay those prices for a repair!

    Hi All,

I recently had the screen come lose on my Apple watch on the 8th June 2020 I rang them to arrange for a repair, I was informed that they would be looking to Hold £506.44 on my card but this was not the amount I would be charged, being Apple I agreed and arranged for a collection, which has taken 10 days after they lost the item. I spoke to the support team as I was concerned that they had lost the item and that they would be sending me a new watch at £216, at this point I told apple support that I was original informed that before any repair was to happen I would be given the options and related costs, then I could then make an informed decision. I was told this was not the case and apple support would investigate. I then wrote an email detailing the conversation and all relevant information to Apple so as to keep a record also stating that I was very unhappy. This morning I have received an invoice from Apple for, that's right you guessed it £506.44 to send me a new watch, I checked the apple store where I can get a series 3 watch from £199 or a series 5 from £399, why would I pay more for an older product.....?

I have emailed Apple support again this morning to demand a full refund and that I don't want a replacement watch, they have informed me that I must accept the watch when it is delivered else I risk losing the money and the watch, can anyone advise how I get my money back?

    thank you in advance.
