Taking Card Payments for a sports club/charity (at a bar) - which payment machine/service?

Hello all
Hope everyone is well! I am helping my local sports club as a volunteer at the moment, and they have a clubhouse where people go to after a game etc, and we would like to start to take card payments for drinks etc, but am unsure where to start. We will soon have wifi in the club but can anyone advise on the best payment machine to get and the fees involved? They seem to vary and I wonder if it matters how much you take. I expect the average payment will be for a couple of drinks so in the region of £8.
