Hi
Just received an email from EDF stating i can secure a new cheaper tariff now for when my old deal tariff ends.
I am on Simply Online 1 Year Fix Sep20v2 which ends 30 September 2020
If i want i can secure a new tariff Refresh Online Jun22 which is £34 cheaper per year than the one i am on now.
My question is should i wait until near the end of my current tariff as its likely prices will be much cheaper than this new tariff due to corona virus ?
Are EDF trying to get people on this new tariff refresh online jun22 knowing full well that prices will be lower for people who take the chance and wait ?
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Who knows? Prices could fall further or go up. Without a crystal ball or a flux capacitor your guess is as good as mine.Tariffs can be withdrawn at any time so you may find the Refresh tariff isn't available by the time your tariff ends, so if you want it, go for it.1

What are the actual prices for the new tariff (unit cost and standing charge for each fuel)? How do they compare to other prices available now?
Ignore the "savings per year"; that's just an estimate and may be based on the absurd assumption that you will move on to the very expensive standard variable rate at the end of your fix.2
