lastminute.com - generic cancellation of booking using

I have had the run around from http://Lastminute.com. My question is having paid for my package holiday with my Credit Card if I dont receive my refund in timely manner can I request my credit card to refund me instead for services/goods that I havent received and what is the procedure to request this. I have a package trip booked with them for several months. I had to wait until the flight has been cancelled with Lufthansa. It is a trip that was due to go to St Peterberg on 17th June for 5 nights. hotel and transfers included. I had contacted http://lastminute.com several times. I eventually received emails confirming my flights were cancelled and the travel agent had to request the refund. As of today my booking online status is showing it is confirmed!. I received a generic email from http://lastminute.com on 4th June 2020 starting "Dear Customer". It outlines due to Covid 19 that the booking has been cancelled and would be in contact soon with more information about a refund. Today i emailed them to request a more formal notification and the reply was they were waiting on the airline. I contacted the airline and they say that http://Lastminute.com have to request it. This i then informed http://LM.COM and they answered that they answered my refund request had been received and awaiting the management to process. I have not had a formal notification that my booking which should include the reference has been cancelled by them. I presume the emails they have sent could be used as evidence of cancellation Since then the status of my booking on the website is pending review. Any help would be gratefully received.

I had a flight booked direct with Lufthansa and still waiting refund after 2 months..I expect it could be a couple more months before I see it.
You could involve the card company but it will take time also - I called my bank for an unrelated matter yesterday and their recorded message says they cannot deal with chargebacks etc for travel on the phone and to fill a form in and they will be in contact in a few weeks.
Many travel companies are dealing with cancellations in original travel date order so your may be some time1 -

LM answer queries in order of receipt - in the space of a few days, they confirmed flights, confirmed transfer changes, changed flights, confirmed transfer changes, and cancelled the whole package... three months of queries answered in a week. You will receive 3 options for refund - every option waives all your rights and leads to a voucher.0

You need to read the Options right to the end - option 3 is titled cash refund, but goes on to establish a new contract which waives all rights ( on your side of course ) and commits you to accepting vouchers from the airline/ hotel if they choose - guess what they will choose, cash or voucher?0
