Halifax checks on completion

Seems it's a bit of a stick your finger in the air sort of thing. We are with the Halifax too, and apart from the initial hard search in early February to issue our offer, nothing else has shown up on my credit history. We are aiming for completion back end of August into September time, so not sure what they will check between now and then, but we are both front line NHS so our jobs are about as safe as they can be, which hopefully will mean no extra checks.

Hi guys my solicitors got the funds today no check for furlough or credit check on my report only had 1 hard search when i applied and 2 soft searches then nothing else had an offer from bank end of march and 6th july monday completion however we do get %100 wages with wife no reductions and we don’t have any credit cards debt etc paid off and have excellent credit history good luck for you all guys ...

Hard search from when I applied in early June. No further checks or credit footprints upon completion in mid-July.

Looking for some advice. We are near completion in few weeks. Everything is ready on our side but we just checked my husbands credit score and it has gone down! There has been a late or missed payment on account. What has happened is he has paid the wrong amount to our credit card bill. Honest mistake as he has mixed up payments! He has spoken to Amex and explained the situation and they have said if we can prove he was paying for something else the be able to take it off. Obviously this can take weeks to sort. As a genuine mistake we are now so worried. Will lenders do another credit check on completion? As they did hard check initially on application? We are so close to competing I just don’t want lenders to back out on an honest mistake! Will they do another check? Thanks

Halifax didn't do any pre-completion checks on our remortgage to them despite having applied for the product six months earlier.

Try not to worry too much.
