Hi all,
I have got an exterior pipe from the bathroom going down in the garden. There is a water leak from one of the joints of the pipe. This is outside. Please see the pic. Some of the water is coming down in the garden. How can I fix this.

Thanks

Take it apart, clean it, use some silicone spray, furniture polish or washing up liquid to reassemble the boss properly. As that connects to a soil pipe, make sure you wear gloves and work from above the joint, not below it else you'll get dribbles in your face/hair!

In this case the joint between the boss and the pipe can be leaking and disassembling and assembling won't change anything.

Yes the boss should be glued to the stack, but I suspect it's leaking from here because all of this should be pushed into the boss

I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.3 -

That's what I thought. All the crap (literally) is coming out of the joint between the pipe on the right and the rubber boss. Can't see from the photo, but I bet the pipe isn't straight causing the rubber to bend and allowing waste to escape. Since the rubber bush is not pushed in much/at all, it's not squeezing tight against the pipe, hence the leak.Strip, clean, straighten up and reassemble properly. By all means check the boss is glued at the same time. And make sure no-one uses the loo whilst you're working on it!Signature on holiday for two weeks1 -
Thanks all. As mentioned, I just checked the connections. Dissambled and assembled the pipes again. Made sure they slotted. No leak now 😀. Thanks again.1
