Filling hairline cracks

I've got quite a few hairline cracks that have appeared - some from when we had the real heatwave 2 years ago and some more recently with the hot dry weather. I've never bothered too much about them but I want to sort them at some point before selling the house. And I think being at home more I've probably just started noticing them more !

Any ideas when would be a good time to fill or just repaint? Quite a few are where the gloss paint meets the wall paint (e.g. skirting, around door frames). Some are just where the old caulk has failed around the windows etc. I read some things online that say wait until the cooler / damper months later in the year otherwise they'll just dry out and crack again, but is that necessary? Or should i just wait until I sell the house?

not sure why you'd bother filling them in after you've sold it? surely the point of doing it would be either:
    1) so you can benefit from not seeing the cracks
    or
2)so it looks better and potential buyers will see it's in good condition

but anyway, it's a 5 minute job (depending on how many cracks you have) just rake out the old stuff if it needs it, and fill with caulk and wipe it over. job done
