BLME 90-day Notice Account Rate Reduction

Has anyone else holding Issue 1 had their rate reduced?
I opened it just before it was withdrawn with £16k at 1.71%, but this week, after after I added a £42k deposit they notified me of a reduction to 1.2%. Yet their website is still showing 1.71%. I hope this is just bad timing, and  I haven't been penalised for adding to my account.
Had I known I'd have split it across one and two year fixed rate accounts, but  now I only have the choice of closing the whole account with 30 days notice, or removing the extra £40k with 90days notice. If I do either, I suspect rates elsewhere will have dropped by the time I can move it.
