SSE...... Are you paying for somone elses gas? I AM.....
Options
Hi everyone
I recently went on SSE website to give meter readings.....
Electric.... no problem....the went to input gas reading.... wouldn't accept it says my last reading was 2000 units more than I am inputting..
Long story shortened.....
My last bill details show 2 different gas meters.... so, either their records show I have changed my meter or added a second gas supply.... I HAVEN'T
I spoke to somone at SSE. He eventually he said it must be an error with Transco info and he would get back to me.....lol still waiting.......
1. Transco haven't existed for years .. records of meters (mpr meter point reference)are held with Xoserve
2. Xoserve only change records when the supplier (SSE) inform them of a change
I have now advanced my complaint with SSE.... got to give them 5 days (oh....and of course covid 19 means this will be extended)
Anyone any advise.?.....
Anyone been through this?

I assume you've done the obvious and gone and checked your meter to make sure the MPRN matches the one on your previous bills?Aside from that I'd take it straight to a complaint if they are unresponsive.Write in and mail it, not email or phone calls and mark the letter 'Complaint' on the outside.2

Yes.
Because the meters are in awkward places, and because I'm getting on... lol
I have taken photos with each meter reading so that I could see the correct units.
And each photo also shows the meter number
I have forwarded the 1st meter photo and the last meter photo to SSE.....
IT JUST REEKS OF GOING ON FOREVER.......0 -
When you say the bill shows two meters, is it showing a change of meter - ie: a few days of meter1 then the remaining days with meter 2? Or a full billing period for two meters? Is either of the meters actually yours?I'm guessing they've changed someone else's meter and logged your serial number instead of theirs? If you send them photos of your meter happily incrementing at its usual rate it should be easy for them to realise what's happened and fix it. Although how they'll ever find out where the new meter went is another mystery - but very much not your problem.2

Bill shows star and end readings for 2 meter but no dates....
So it looks like they have added a second meter....
It will become a problem if they don't fix this..... I can't move suppliers until they do....
I am only half way through my fix but if I leave they will try to bill for the extra 2000 units....0
