Composite door

Had a new door fitted yesterday. Paid £1500. Looks lovely , however other people’s composite door seem to have a suction effect when you push the door open but ours doesn’t, it also doesn’t feel as heavy as other people’s . Have I been ripped off. I have bought it of a reputable company, just doesn’t feel right at the mo.

What is this "suction effect" that you want your door to have? Did your last door have it?

I think the suction effect is the main reason i'd never buy one, I think they are a bloody nuisance. you have to shoulder barge your way though them on the way in, and you have to slam it to get it to shut of they just bounce back off the casing!
I'm still a fan of the old fashioned double seal on a PVC door, 2 seals, nothing gets in, they open and close easily, and they are cheaper.
so maybe if yours doesn't seem as hard to open or close, they have figured out a way of trying to address these problems? probably at the expense of the airtightness seal0
