We are still awaiting the detailed guidance promised today, but what we know at present suggests you should be eligible for the second grant.

The guidance, released today, says to qualify for the second grant, your work has to be adversely affected, due to Coronavirus, from 14th July onwards... meaning who knows if you are eligible yet!

That’s logical because the cut off date for applying for the firs time grant is 14th July. This means that you can’t claim both grants for the same period of adverse impact. However it’s not logical in that the first grant was said to be replacement income for the period March to May (inclusive) so someone adversely affected from March to early July doesn’t get any help for June and the first part of July.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
