Hi All, sorry first of all as I'm not a DIY person so will try to explain issued the best I can. Basically moved into a new build and have heard dripping from the bath, when I remove panel it looks as if the have cut into gyproc for bath to fit. Underneath there is a void of about 30cm all alond wall where to can ser the insulation with no gyproc. My worry is on the other side is a wall socket, so if water gets under bath it could be dangerous. This can't be right, can it

Plasterboard won't stop the water and will make no difference, but I don't see how the water level can get that high to reach the socket.

I wouldn't worry about the lack of plasterboard. I would be worried about finding the source of the dripping noise.

Hi tellit, thanks.
When they build the bathroom it's about 5cm shorter that it should be so the bath didn't fit so the have just taken the plasterboard away. My worry is not the is basically nothing between the socket and under the bath. If any water runs over the bath edge it directly avove the socket housing, surely thay can't be right0
