No refund. BA.

Hi. Hoping someone can help. BA cancelled our flight to Almeria- Spain. We accepted the vouchers so that we could re-book at some later date. BA now no longer fly to Almeria. We specifically want to fly to Almeria as we have an apartment there. We do not wish to fly anywhere else. We have complained twice to BA asking for a refund as the product/service we purchased no longer exists. Twice they have replied stating that vouchers are non-refundable Complianing to BA directly seems pointless. Has anyone had a similar experience and what should we do?
TIA.

Contact the CMA. It would seem that BA are in breach of their contract with you as they are unable to provide the service they had previously promised.

The problem is, an airline is legally permitted to give vouchers as a refund if the customer agrees and unless the voucher provided states that it can be exchanged for cash at a later date, the OP may well have a fight on their hands as they have already accepted the voucher.
It will probably depend on exactly what the T&Cs of the voucher state and if there is anything regarding validity for a specific route.0 -
Did BA offer you a cash refund at the time?arsenal1963161616 said:Hi. Hoping someone can help. BA cancelled our flight to Almeria- Spain. The optoin of a cash refund was offered. We did not take that option. We accepted vouchers with a view to re-book the flight.
