Garage Floor Level Treatment and Epoxy Paint Advice

Hi
I have a garage around 30-meter square. It's very dusty. I have been reading several posts on how to go about and viewing youtube videos.
To summarise I need a leveling compound and epoxy paint with tools to complete the job.
I need some advice on buying the right stuff and method.

I will be helpful if guys who have done this share their experiences and help to answer the below questions.
Items:
1. Which leveling compound to go for Mapie/Sika/Selco Brand/etc.?
2.Which Epoxy paint/product to use.

Method research after reading posts/videos. Probably will take 2 days with 2 Persons
Prepare the surface by cleaning the area.
1. Do 2 Coats of PVA. First one diluted 1:4 , 2nd one 50-50 - Using Roller
2. Once dry apply the leveling compound - using a spiked roller.
3.Apply the Epoxy Paint using Rollers

Thanks & Regards

Why are you levelling a garage floor? A couple of tins of Screwfix garage floor paint is all I've ever used.

    ONCE UPON A TIME . . .
I once had a next door neighbour who carpeted his garage . . . It even had its own vacuum cleaner.
Seriously, I kid you not, and he did park his daily-polished, company-supplied-car in it every night.
A.N.A.L. does not really do him justice :#

  • I always used Cempolatex when on site for office blocks etc. A standard rake will do the same job as a spiked roller.
The PVA doesn't need a roller... Tip it out of a bucket in doors then brush it with a soft bristled sweeping brush.
Just wash the brush out after.
I don't know about painting though, that was the painters job.

My garage was massively out of true due to a Friday afternoon concrete pour! :(

I levelled it using Cempolay Ultra Strong.  It is designed for high load areas like garages so will take the weight of a car driving over it regularly.

I was advised by Cementone to sweep and remove as much dust as possible (I'd vacuum it!), prime it with a diluted coat of SBR and then apply the Cempolay. It is an excellent self leveller, even better that the Mapei high build leveller I used in my gym.  It will level up to 20mm but if you need more then you can do another coat over the top once it is dry, as long as you apply another coat of SBR.

It also doesn't need painting over once it is poured as it doesn't dust like a normal concrete screed/slab.
