Furlough back pay!?

Unless your employer is willing to lie on the application they can't furlough you now as it is too late. Which is a bit of a unfair position to put them in when they have obviously already gone above what they needed to do in trying to get in touch with you.

I think the main problem, even leaving aside the deadline issue, is that if the employer has furloughed anyone else, CJRS claims covering the relevant periods will already have been made.

The important lesson and this is for anyone is never bury your head when the phone rings. We all have to swallow that frog sometimes when we don't want to pick up but it would have left you much better off
