Hi guys
I'm looking for a bit of advice on car insurance for some one in the RAF. Im currently awaiting a start date for training and will be holding off on my car insurance until that time comes so have just been getting quotes in the mean time.
Im just a bit unsure as to what address i should be using. I live in Liverpool but when i begin training i will be away Monday-Friday and back home over the weekend. Should i be putting the Base address as the address i am living at & keeping the car at? As that is were the majority of my time is spent. Id also not want my car insurance documents to be sent to the base, but rather my home address.
Or do i put that i live in Liverpool but the car is kept overnight on the base?
Bit confusing i know but any help is appreciated. Just dont want to make sure i get it right, regardless of the cost.
Thanka

You should most likely use the address where you think you’ll be keeping the car most of the time. Maybe give Forces Mutual a ring and see what they suggest https://www.forcesmutual.org/

You should use the address of your station. Not forgetting to change it from Halton to your new training unit at the end of recruit training.
Don't forget that you will need business cover to claim MMA for duty travel between stations on posting etc.1 -

To confirm, i should have that i am both living and keeping the car at Halton, correct?
Would most insurance company's be happy to send correspondence to a different address (ie, my home in Liverpool)?I will make sure to ring up the insurance before i pay it to confirm all the information is correct.
